Privacy Policy

Effective July 18, 2026

Donate2Support ("Donate2Support," "we," "us," or "our") provides a fundraising platform used by schools, teams, and other groups ("Groups") to run donation-based fundraising campaigns ("Campaigns"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to everyone who uses our platform — team members and students running a Campaign ("Sellers"), people who assist them ("Helpers"), people who donate ("Donors" or "Supporters"), business sponsors, group leaders and organizers, and visitors to our website.

By using Donate2Support, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. See also our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with our platform:

Sellers (team members / students)

  • Name, email address, phone number, and grade/team information
  • A profile photo, if uploaded
  • Fundraising goal, activity, and progress (invites sent, donations received)
  • Contacts imported from a connected Google account, if the Seller chooses to use that feature (see Section 5)

Helpers

  • Name, email address, phone number, and relationship to the Seller they're assisting
  • Contacts they add or import to help invite Donors on a Seller's behalf

Donors and Supporters

  • Name, email address, phone number, and an optional message left with a donation
  • Donation amount and payment details, processed by our payment processor Stripe (see Section 4) — we do not receive or store full card numbers
  • Communication preferences, including SMS and email opt-in/opt-out status

Sponsors

  • Business name and contact information for donors who choose to sponsor a Campaign

Group leaders, organizers, and fundraiser requests

  • Name, email, phone number, and message when you contact us or request a new Campaign for your Group
  • Report recipient contact information, for Group staff who receive Campaign progress reports

Administrators

  • Name and email address, tied to a secure login used to manage Campaigns

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information when you:

  • Register as a Seller, Helper, Donor, or Sponsor, or submit a fundraiser request
  • Add contacts by hand, or import them from a connected Google account
  • Use a shared/classroom computer to add your own information and contacts at the start of a Campaign ("PC Add")
  • Make a donation or otherwise interact with a Campaign page
  • Contact us directly for support

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and personalize Campaign pages, leaderboards, and progress tracking
  • Process donations and send donation receipts
  • Send invite, reminder, and confirmation messages by text (SMS) and email, as described in Sections 7 and 8
  • Provide Campaign progress reports to Group organizers and staff
  • Respond to support requests and fundraiser inquiries
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of our platform
  • Improve and maintain our platform

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate our platform, with the following categories of service providers, each of whom is only permitted to use your information to provide their service to us:

  • Stripe — payment processing for donations. Stripe receives and stores full payment details directly; we retain only transaction identifiers and receipt links.
  • Twilio — delivery of SMS text messages (invites, reminders, and confirmations)
  • SendGrid — delivery of transactional and Campaign-related emails
  • Google — if a Seller or Helper chooses to import contacts from their Google account (see Section 5)
  • Supabase — secure hosting of our database, file storage, and administrator authentication

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure the receiving party honors this Privacy Policy.

5. Google User Data

If you choose to connect your Google account to import contacts, we request read-only access to your Google Contacts and "Other Contacts" (via Google's People API, scopes contacts.readonly and contacts.other.readonly) solely to let you select which contacts to invite to support a Campaign. We do not request write access to your contacts, and we do not use this data for advertising.

Contact names and email addresses you approve are stored only long enough to send the invitations you requested and are subject to the same protections described elsewhere in this policy. Donate2Support's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Donate2Support's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

6. Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

By providing a phone number and consenting to receive texts, you agree to receive SMS messages from Donate2Support related to Campaigns you're involved with — including invites, reminders, and donation confirmations. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies by Campaign activity.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us using the information in Section 15. Reply HELP for assistance. See our TCPA page for more on how our texting program works.

7. Email Communications

We send transactional emails related to Campaigns (such as donation receipts and Campaign updates) and, for contacts you've chosen to invite by email, outreach and follow-up messages on your behalf. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link; opting out will stop future emails to that address.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences (such as light/dark mode on Campaign pages). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate a Campaign, comply with our legal and tax obligations (including donation records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Historical supporter records may be retained across Campaigns so a Seller's past supporters can be recognized in future Campaigns for the same Group.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database and admin tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

Because Donate2Support is often used for school and youth-group fundraising, some Sellers may be under the age of 13. We collect only the information described in Section 1 that is necessary to run a Campaign, and we rely on a Seller's Group (e.g., their school or program) to obtain any consent required for a minor's participation before the Campaign begins. Parents and guardians who have questions about a minor's information, or who wish to review, correct, or request deletion of it, should contact us using the information in Section 15.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations
  • Opt out of SMS and email communications, as described in Sections 6 and 7

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15.

13. U.S.-Based Service

Donate2Support is operated in and intended for use within the United States. If you access our platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Donate2Support after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at info@donate2support.com or through our Contact page.
